По скайпу кинули ссылку на ролик к одной игре. Ролик короткий, судить об игре по нему сложно, да и речь сейчас не о ней. Фоном в ролике играла очень красивая и очень знакомая мелодия. Прислушавшись, понял что похожа она на "White Dove" группы Scorpions. Похожа, но не она.
В комментариях к ролику выяснилось, что, оказывается, это песня "Gyöngyhajú lány" ("Девушка с жемчужными волосами") венгерской группы Omega. Песня была написана в 1968 году, а в 1969 году была записана и выпущена с альбомом "10 000 lépés" ("10 000 шагов").

Позже, в 1973 году, были выпущены английская и немецкая версии песни.

Песня заслуженно стала популярной и, в дальнейшем, в разное время, в разных странах и на разных языках, появлялись её кавер-версии: польская "Dziewczyna o perłowych włosach" группы Kult, чешская "Dívka s perlami ve vlasech" Алеша Брихта, сербская "Devojka Biserne Kose" группы Griva, болгарская "Батальонът се строява" дуета "Южен Вятър", литовская "Meiles Nera" театральной труппы "Keistuoliu Teatras", немецкая "Schreib es mir in den Sand" Франка Шёбеля.
Ну и наконец, в 1994 году, немецкая группа Scorpions выпустила сингл "White Dove". Стоит отметить, что Scorpions взяли из оригинала лишь мотив, тексты этих двух песен абсолютно разные.

Песню для сингла группа записала буквально за неделю. Она была призвана обратить внимание на трагедию, развернувшуюся в то время в Африке. Сингл Scorpions был благотворительным, выручку от его продажи передали беженцам из Руанды.
